Beshalach brings us the deliverance of B'nai Yisrael from Egypt, the splitting of the Red Sea and Shirat Hayam, the singing lead by Miriam as a way of thanking G-d for the miracle of the Exodus. This Shabbat is called Shabbat Shira.
